The thing with unhealthy eating habits is that most of us have no clue that it is unhealthy. We all think that eating junk food is the only unhealthy eating habits. There is so much more that we are not aware about. The worst thing is that these are some habits that we do on a daily basis. Since we do not give them much thought, we are not even aware of how unhealthy and dangerous they are. The following are some such habits that you need to be aware about.

Skipping Breakfast

As we lead hectic lives and work under busy schedules, we often tend to skip breakfast. Of course, some people do this purposely to lost weight and others do this accidently when they are rushing off to work or school. Either way, you need to know that this is extremely unhealthy. First of all, you need to know that skipping breakfast can actually increase your weight as it can make you eat a bigger lunch. Also, missing breakfast can create an imbalance in your nutrient intake, which can lead to serious health problems.

Thanks to addictions to television and various other things, a lot of people do not go to bed on time. While staying up late, past midnight in particular, is bad Eating Habits, midnight snacking is worse. You must know that having a large meal after 07.00 in the night is not very healthy. So, once you have dessert, it is best not to have anything afterwards. If you do have to stay awake for work or school reasons, then at least make sure to snack on something healthy such as fruits or yoghurt.

This is a habit that many of us are unaware of. When you watch TV, you tend to have a bag of chips or a bowl of popcorn on your lap. However, you will notice that in less than a few minutes, the entire bag or bowl will be empty. Even though usually you might not be able to finish the entire thing by yourself, the television will distract you from the food and influence you to eat it all. This can lead to quick, easy and unhealthy weight gain. In order to avoid this, try not to snack while watching TV or reduce the size of the portions that you eat at this time.

This habit is something that you notice a lot among people with busy schedules. People who are often heavily engrossed in work tend to skip their meals. So, when they have a little bit of time, they much on a lot of food to make up for every meal they missed. Even though you might think of this as catching up with your missed meals, you are actually hoarding yourself with too much food. This is not healthy at all. So, regardless of how busy you are, make sure to eat on time, at least a little bit.

If you have any of the above habits, then you need to get rid of them immediately for the sake of your health.
